Supermodels Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista and Naomi Campbell Have Epic Runway Reunion
The iconic supermodels came together for Vogue World: London just days before their Apple TV+ docuseries is set to be released
The supermodels are back in town!
To close the show, the foursome joined hands on stage before doing a lap around the Theatre Royal Drury Lane while Annie Lennox performed a "Sweet Dreams" medley.
- Cambell wore a forest green dress with cutouts, while Crawford, Turlington and Evangelista all chose metallic shades for their dresses.
- After their lap — to raucous applause — they were greeted back on stage to bouquets of red roses and cheers.
“One of my favorite things about the fashion industry is these friendships from people all over the world,” noted Crawford, 57. “The hair, the makeup, Edward, it really is like your second family.”
“I'm blessed that I came up at that time, I wouldn't have wanted to come up at another time,” continued Campbell, adding in the Vogue cover interview,
The four will star in an upcoming docuseries on Apple TV+ called The Super Models, out Sept. 20.
In a press release, the streamer promised to give audiences “unprecedented access” to the models. Viewers will go “behind the camera and beyond the catwalk” to see how they “dominated the elite modeling world while illuminating a bond that single-handedly shifted the power dynamic of an entire industry," Apple TV+ teased.
In the trailer, Turlington, 54, said that it was the first time the group reunited “in our 50s.” Campbell added, “You see our photos, so you feel like you know us,” before referring to the trailblazing women she started her career with as her “chosen family.”
- The philanthropic event will benefit performing arts organizations including the National Theatre, the Royal Opera House, South Bank Sinfonia and the Rambert dance company.
Naomi Campbell couldn’t quite believe she was reuniting with her fellow ‘Supers’ Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista to shoot the cover of Vogue’s iconic September issue.
“My reaction was, is this really happening?” Campbell, 53, told the publication in a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot. “Just to get us all together shooting with Edward [Enninful] and Anna [Wintour], it was a joy,” she added.
