Made-for-TV Courtroom Drama Star "Judge Judy" Minces It All Up Appearing To Support Real-Life Politico

Judge Judy stumps for Haley

The TV judge says Haley inspired her to break out from her 'apolitical' public persona

Judy Sheindlin took the stage here, explaining her need to speak out after decades of being “pretty apolitical” to back Nikki Haley for president.
“When I saw the field, I thought, ‘I want to get to know this lady,” said the woman better known as Judge Judy to fans of her courtroom-based reality show.
As Sheindlin spoke, someone in the crowd shouted, “Send Trump to prison!” It prompted a few cheers but not much more of a reaction.

Tonight’s rally was among Haley’s largest, highest-energy campaign events to date, filling a high school auditorium as Donald Trump held his own rally in another part of the state.
“Can you hear that sound? That’s the sound of a two-person race,” Haley said, now for the first time in earnest since Ron DeSantis’ departure from the race earlier today.
Haley largely stuck to her standard stump speech. She drew sustained applause from the crowd when she repeated her oft-used line that “chaos follows” Trump. After a couple of her recent events were interrupted by climate protesters, Haley seemed eager to get ahead of such potential criticism.

“We have a lot of young people in the audience, and I know that y’all care about the environment,” Haley said to cheering from the top corner of the auditorium.
“But you know what, I want to tell you, everybody in this auditorium cares about our environment.”
That line, however, mostly drew crickets.
And it didn’t deter one of those protesters from standing up and shouting later in the speech with a sign that said: “oil sellout.”
Haley addressed Trump’s recent criticism that she has little backing from elected officials in her home state of South Carolina, where the former president continues to rack up support from prominent Republicans. Haley said the reason she didn’t have as many state legislative endorsements back home was because of the anti-corruption measures she pushed while in the statehouse.

“Look, it’s your endorsement I want at the end of the day,” Haley said. It’s the American people.”
