The law enforcement officers exposed an organized group led by a former adviser to the Presidentʼs Office — it is about the embezzlement of UAH 95 million from “Ukrzaliznytsia”

The investigation established that an organized group was created in 2021 to control the money of Ukrzaliznytsia. During June — December 2022, the head of the group, through the controlled officials of the UZ, chose the company-supplier of power transformers.
According to the sources of " Slovo i Dilo ", the organizer of the group was the former freelance adviser of the Presidentʼs Office Artem Shilo.
According to SAPO and NABU, this company supplied goods at an inflated cost. The offers of other tender participants with more favorable prices were rejected with the help of a letter "Regarding threats to state security".

NABU and SAP together with the SBU exposed an organized group at the acquisition of cash JSC «Ukrzaliznytsia» during the repair of track machines.
According to the investigation, in 2021, former director of the production structural unit «Cherk track repair and mechanical plant» branch « Center for repair and operation of track machines» JSC «Ukrzaliznytsia» for the purpose of illegal enrichment formed an organized group from among the current and former employees of the plant.
During April 2021 - February 2022, he achieved the election of pre-defined companies as winners of the purchase of track repair services. However, such repairs were not actually carried out, and members of the organized group forged documents that testified to the alleged performance of works by a number of enterprises with signs of fictitiousness.
As a result, «Ukrzaliznytsia» suffered losses in the amount of UAH 17.1 million, which was taken over by the participants in the crime.
Currently, five members of the organized group have been notified of the suspicion, and its leader has been detained in the order of Art. 208 CCP of Ukraine.
Qualification: Part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The crime was exposed with the assistance of the ultrasound management.
Warning. According to part one of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment, until her guilt is proven legally and established by a court conviction.
