Buildings Department spokesperson Kelly Magee told the New York Post's Page Six: 'The department inspected in response to a complaint on February 5 and issued a violation for operating the roof contrary to its approved use.
'The roof is approved for use as a terrace according to the building’s certificate of occupancy.'
Roubini, the chairman and founder of international consulting firm Roubini Global Economics LLC, took out a $2.99million mortgage to buy the condo on East First street, according to New York City Department of Finance records.
