Electioneering Guidance
Where can electioneering occur?
Do not block voter parking. Please ensure those who are electioneering stay out of voter parking spaces and be sure to not be block or impair spaces. A.R.S. § 16-411(H).
What about in parking spaces?
No temporary or permanent structure can be erected. A.R.S. § 16-411(H).
Can tents be put up to keep cool?
Food or other items cannot be provided as a reward for voting. Maricopa County recommends voters consult an attorney before distributing food and any other items to voters or the public.
Can voters give out free food or items?
A voter is permitted to wear clothing with a political message inside the 75-foot limit, but poll workers, observers, and election officials may not. A.R.S. § 16-515(F), (I). Can voters wear clothing with a political message inside the 75-foot limit?
Arizona law prohibits private citizens, even if properly licensed, from entering the 75-foot limit of a voting location with a weapon. A.R.S. § 13-3102(A)(11)-(12).
Photos, videos, and selfies taken within 75 feet of a voting location are prohibited and punishable as a misdemeanor. A.R.S. §§ 16-515(G)-(H) and 16-1018(4)
