For January – July 2024, the total amount of cash expenditures of the general state budget fund is UAH 1.8 trillion, which is UAH 168.7 billion, or 10.3% more than last year.

The structure of expenditures is most aimed:
- UAH 707.9 billion – on remuneration with accruals (including in July – UAH 107.6 billion) or 39.1% of total expenditures spent in January – July 2024 (against the same period last year increased by UAH 38 billion, or 5.7%). In particular, UAH 537.9 billion was used for the maintenance of servicemen (in July – UAH 80.9 billion);
- UAH 294.6 billion – to pay for the use of goods and services (in July – UAH 46.4 billion) or 16.3% of total expenditures. Including:
UAH 165.3 billion – to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations and law enforcement agencies. These are the purchase of military equipment, weapons, ammunition, defense products, personal protective equipment (helms, bulletproof vests and other special equipment), fuel and lubricants, food, utility bills;
UAH 89 billion – was transferred by the National Health Service of Ukraine to implement a program of state guarantees of medical care of the population;
- UAH 328.6 billion – on social security (payment of pensions, benefits, scholarships) (in July – UAH 46.5 billion) or 18.2% of total expenditures, which is UAH 24 billion or 7.9% more than the same period last year, including:
UAH 158.6 billion – transfer to the Pension Fund to finance the payment of pensions, allowances and increases to pensions;
UAH 66.2 billion – for the social protection of children and families, the protection of citizens in difficult life circumstances, to support low-income families;
UAH 25.6 billion – for the payment of housing subsidies and benefits to citizens to pay for housing and communal services, the purchase of solid and liquid furnace domestic fuel and liquefied gas;
- UAH 168.6 billion – on subsidies and current transfers to enterprises (institutions, organizations) (in July – UAH 22.2 billion) or 9.3% of total expenditures. Including:
UAH 144.4 billion – for the purchase of goods to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
UAH 13 billion – to ensure the functioning of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund;
- UAH 154.9 billion – for public debt service (in July – UAH 22.1 billion) or 8.6% of the total volume (against the same period last year increased by UAH 26.8 billion, or 20.9%);
- UAH 104.9 billion – for transfers to local budgets (in July – UAH 12.7 billion) or 5.8% of the total (against the same period last year increased by UAH 12.7 billion, or 13.7%).
