Zelensky Announced MEGA DEAL With Trump. Escalation In Zakarpatia!
Zelensky has stated that he is now discussing a “mega arms deal” with Donald Trump.
According to his statement, the US would benefit from Ukraine’s drone technology and Ukraine’s experience in using drones in combat. This would help the US military industrial base to stay competitive in drone technology.
- Zelenskyy believes this collaboration could be transformative for US national security, as US technology is reportedly lagging behind Russia and China in drone development, according to news.liga.net.
The
discussions appear to involve the U.S. potentially buying Ukrainian
drones and sharing its air defense technology, particularly Patriot
missile systems, which are crucial for Ukraine's defense against Russian
attacks. This reflects a shift in US policy under the Trump
administration, which had initially paused military aid to Ukraine but
now seems to be prioritizing strengthening Ukraine's defenses, notes the New York Post.

The
current situation also involves a broader NATO initiative where member
states would provide weapons to Ukraine from their existing stockpiles,
and the US would then replace those weapons with new ones, paid for by
NATO countries.
This highlights a growing international effort to
support Ukraine's defense capabilities, particularly in light of renewed
Russian offensives and concerns about potential escalation.
