US ambassador Kushner must explain no show to regain government access, says French FM

The US ambassador to France, Charles Kushner, must explain why he did not show up when summoned by the French government in order to regain access to ministers, France's foreign minister Jean-Noël Barrot said on Tuesday. 
Kushner was summoned after reposting comments made by Washington about the death of a French far-right activist.

US Ambassador Charles Kushner "did not appear" after being formally summoned over comments the Trump administration made about the killing of a far-right activist in France, the foreign ministry said on Monday. Kushner will no longer have direct access to government ministers but will be allowed to perform certain diplomatic duties, the ministry said.
