WHAT WENT WRONG WITH THE F-35 JOINT STRIKE FIGHTER? || WARTHOG 2018

Published on Jan 6, 2018
Views: 94-
The F-35 was billed as a fighter jet that could do almost everything the U.S. military desired, serving the Air Force, Marine Corps and Navy – and even Britain’s Royal Air Force and Royal Navy – all in one aircraft design. It’s supposed to replace and improve upon several current – and aging – aircraft types with widely different missions. It’s marketed as a cost-effective, powerful multi-role fighter airplane significantly better than anything potential adversaries could build in the next two decades. But it’s turned out to be none of those things.

Straight & Real From Mike Allen @ Axios

OK - We are apprentices NO MORE with the tacky Trump Tabloid Freak Circus currently showing in big tent inside The White House.
Reality strikes back with a vengeance:
IT'S A BOOK grabbing all the headlines from headline-crazy "The Donald" who always made Page Six news off-the-front page space in the tabloids in New York City. We weren't amused then
Now everybody can enjoy the show!
SPOILER ALERT:
Be smart: More than half a dozen of the more skilled White House staff are contemplating imminent departures. Many leaving are quite fearful about the next chapter of the Trump presidency.
Read entire post on > www.axion.com
"There are definitely parts of Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury" that are wrong, sloppy, or betray off-the-record confidence. But there are two things he gets absolutely right, even in the eyes of White House officials who think some of the book's scenes are fiction: his spot-on portrait of Trump as an emotionally erratic president, and the low opinion of him among some of those serving him > that's one big thing: What Wolff got most right. . .
Why it matters: Wolff captures the contempt some Trump aides have for the president and his family. Axios' Jonathan Swan notes that this includes people you see trumpeting their loyalty to him.
In the past year, we have had many of the same conversations with the same sources Wolff used. We won't betray them, or put on the record what was off. But, we can say that the following lines from the book ring unambiguously true:
How Trump processes (and resists) information
Instinct over expertise
Ill-preparedness
Low regard by key aides
Be smart: More than half a dozen of the more skilled White House staff are contemplating imminent departures.
Many leaving are quite fearful about the next chapter of the Trump presidency.

SYNOPSIS AND DISCUSSION: Forecaster: -M. Pace
Phoenix continues to deal with well above average warmth and dry weather. While some may think this weather gives us bragging rights, in reality, the state desperately needs rain/snow.

This is up from zero percent of the state being in severe drought back in October.
The good news ??, changes are coming to the area but right now, no rain from the next few days in Phoenix as high pressure will continue to be the primary weather force over the region. This pattern will also result in the continuation of light winds and warm temperatures through the weekend. The only variation will be an increase in clouds here in the Valley and a slight chance of rain/snow for Northern Arizona late Saturday into Sunday. As a result, expecting PM-10 and PM-2.5 levels to remain in the mid-moderate AQI category.
The more significant change comes to the forecast next week as a storm system quickly moves through the state late Tuesday into Wednesday. Expecting southerly winds on Tuesday afternoon to be in the 15-20mph range which could produce some areas of blowing dust, especially for areas just south of Phoenix. However, by the evening and overnight hours into Wednesday rain chances will be on the rise which will help to quickly clear the air of any dust that is generated. Because of this, forecasting PM-10 on Tuesday to be the highest during the morning/early afternoon before dropping overnight.
This is a fast-moving storm system so not expecting a significant amount of rain, but rainfall totals in Phoenix could range from 0.10 to 0.25 inches with higher amounts likely just
north/northeast of the Valley in the higher elevations. This system will also bring in much cooler air with high temperatures on Wednesday dropping into the mid/low 60's!
Overall, moderate air quality through the weekend with rain chances moving into the forecast to help improve air quality late Tuesday into Wednesday.

Have a great weekend and be sure to check back on Monday for the latest updates.

Bullshit Business-As-Usual For Arizona Environmental Quality???

Say What? Opportunities to offset emissions????
Heads Ups, folks . . . Hold on just one minute and pay attention:
the first question should be What is getting done to reduce the sources of the toxic emissions that are dangerous to our health - the air we breathe is contaminated and unsafe for far too many days here in Arizona and Maricopa County, where federal clean air standards are consistently violated year-after-year after year!
Is that news to anyone here in The Valley of Dirty Air?

Stakeholder Meeting

Proposed Changes to Arizona Emissions Bank Rules
ADEQ invites you to attend a stakeholder meeting for the development of state rules for Arizona's voluntary emissions bank.
ADEQ seeks your input and ideas in amending the Arizona Administrative Code, Title 18, Chapter 2, Article 12

BACKGROUND: Earlier this year, the legislature amended the existing emissions bank statute (A.R.S. Section 49-410 or HB2152) to allow for new types of emissions reductions credits to be deposited in the bank. The amendments directed ADEQ to adopt rules implementing these changes.
The rules will help promote Arizona as a more attractive option for companies seeking to locate or expand industrial operations while still maintaining healthy air quality.
PLEASE NOTE: This stakeholder meeting will be hosted in Yuma, which is currently not meeting national particulate matter air quality standards and the new ozone standards. Establishing the emissions bank rules, with your input, will provide businesses looking to locate in Yuma an opportunity to offset their emissions.

When: Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Where: Yuma County Development Services
