There's Agreement on This:

The pro-Ukraine media space is furious at a New York Times story that seems to pin the blame for slow counteroffensive advances on Ukraine itself, absolving its allies who slow-walked aid for so long. The premise is this: Ukraine received Western weapons and training, but that didn’t work, so they’re back to Soviet-style tactics of massive artillery barrages and small-unit advances, and that’s slow, which is bad.

Ukraine’s decision to change tactics is a clear signal that NATO’s hopes for large advances made by Ukrainian formations armed with new weapons, new training and an injection of artillery ammunition have failed to materialize, at least for now.

It raises questions about the quality of the training the Ukrainians received from the West and about whether tens of billions of dollars’ worth of weapons, including nearly $44 billion from the Biden administration, have been successful in transforming the Ukrainian military into a NATO-standard fighting force.

Interestingly, the facts of the story aren’t wrong, but the analysis is sophomoric at best.

Colorado GOP Taps Trump Indictment Co-Conspirator to Help Change Election Rules

John Eastman masterminded the alternate elector scheme to keep the former president in power. Colorado Republicans don't seem to care

THE COLORADO REPUBLICAN Party is trying to prevent unaffiliated voters from casting ballots in the party’s primary elections, part of an effort to claw their way back to relevance in the state.

The state GOP filed a lawsuit on Monday and has tapped John Eastman to help represent the party. Eastman, you may remember, was one of the primary architects of the alternate elector scheme Trump and his allies tried to employ overturn the 2020 election results. He is also one of the six co-conspirators listed in the Justice Department’s new indictment of the former president for the scheme. The indictment describes him as having “devised and attempted to implement a strategy to leverage the Vice President’s ceremonial role overseeing the certification proceeding to obstruct the certification of the presidential election.”

The lawsuit alleges that last year’s GOP primaries for governor, secretary of state, and U.S. Senate may have turned out differently if unaffiliated voters weren’t allowed to cast ballots along with registered Republicans. Colorado’s governor, secretary of state, and both U.S. senators are currently Democrats. . ."  LINK: Rolling Stone

Nathan Lane, Megan Mullaly and Bowen Yang also star in A24's first-ever musical, directed by Seinfeld vet Larry Charles

A24 HAS REVEALED the first trailer for the studio’s first-ever musical, titled Dicks: The Musical, starring Megan Thee Stallion (in her first big screen role), Nathan Lane, Megan Mullally and Bowen Yang.

The musical was written by the film’s stars Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp, who play the titular “dicks,” self-obsessed, not-so-identical twins who plot to bring who they believe to be their birth parents (Lane and Mullally) back together.

Megan Thee Stallion shows up in the trailer in the role of what appears to be the twins’ boss, delivering some workplace rhymes in the preview. “Y’all just servants / This my palace / Built it brick-by-brick,” she raps. “So get in line / Drop on your knees / And suck my fucking dick.”

Yang also briefly appears in the trailer, playing the role of God. Dicks: The Musical was helmed by longtime Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm director Larry Charles.
