Game-Changer: The Device Men Love | Business Insider

A new nasal spray reversed signs of brain aging.

Researchers at Texas A&M University tested an experimental treatment designed to reduce the chronic inflammation that can build up in the brain with age.The treatment contains tiny particles released by lab-grown human neural stem cells. These particles carry molecules that help regulate activity inside cells, including signals involved in inflammation.
Delivered through the nose, the particles reached the brain. Treated mice showed reduced inflammation in the hippocampus, a region important for learning and memory, along with changes in genes involved in cellular energy production after just two doses.
Those biological changes were accompanied by better performance on tests involving objects and changes in the animals’ surroundings. Benefits were seen in both male and female mice.
The findings suggest that some processes linked to age-related memory decline may be treatable. But this was an animal study, not evidence that a nasal spray can reverse brain aging or treat dementia in people.

Further research is needed to establish whether the approach is safe and effective in humans. The study was published in the Journal of Extracellular Vesicles.

A Mega-Drought Quietly Erased Urban Life Across The Valley // HISTORICAL MARVELS Ancient World Marvels · 18 hours ago

Around 2500 BCE, Mohenjo-daro housed up to 40,000 people in a perfect grid built from millions of standardized baked bricks. It had granaries, the Great Bath, and a covered drainage system more advanced than many cities that followed centuries later.
Then it vanished without violence. No burnt walls, no weapons, no flood layer. Around 1900-1700 BCE, the entire Indus urban network collapsed at once.
  • Recent climate data shows a 900-year mega-drought weakened the monsoon and dried the Ghaggar-Hakra, forcing a quiet, disputed exodus that ended one of the world's first urban experiments.
