Getting Hyper-Local > Filling-In + Re/Generating The Old Donut-Hole

What can get more local than importing "a group of experts" when the home-grown talent here in The Urban Downtown Mesa have bee struggling for years on that "Vision Thing" at the same time that the general public and citizens are not engaged with their elected and salaried officials?
Mesa, we have a problem.
And a whole lot more than just a few issues to get addressed, and do more than just talk-about time-and-time again or not at all when they're staring us all right-in-the-face all the time.

For the sake of a robust dialectic > There's just one tunnel vision here in Mesa that's been up for years that's been getting us mebbe somewhere "along the line" where we want to go. Are we all on-board a shared common-ground vision after all these years that includes everyone?
Do certain groups of people feel they are not included, or have been excluded from active participation in Re/Generating our downtown area and in city governance?
Mesa Mayor John Giles has unequivocally stated on numerous occasions that he has failed to engage the community ...Why? Doesn't anyone ask and speak up?
Is it Crony-Politics to use a non-tinged phrase to describe an entrenched political machine where it's their way or the highway?
It's time for people to start caring again when the heart of Main Street has become in the gone-bye four decades "The Old Donut-Hole"
What on Earth is an Innovation District!?With all the talk about "the Rise of Mesa's Innovation District" we ask, 'What's an innovation district'? Join the group to view the presentation by the Brooking's Institute and then a lively discussion on what this means for Mesa's downtownJanuary RAIL Meeting Wed 24 Jan 2018 @ 6:00 pm

We cannot continue to "grease-the-skids on the downtown slopes that happen in successive government administrations that are just the same old-rehash of what's gone on for generations before.  Growth gets flat-lined after a short uphill climb . . .
If you are interested and committed and engaged to get active in the Re/Generation of The Urban Downtown Mesa, this is a pre-requisite - take the time to watch and listen and take notes for each speaker's talking points and bring it to the get-together.
