Looking groggy, Hizzoner John Giles gets right off-the-bat sliding fast to say that everyone is present and accounted for, looking to his right then. and stating
"So far there are no items on or off the Consent Agenda . . ." ??????
and . . . then asks if anyone has concerns or questions.
Hizzoner the mayor wants to make a few opening remarks saying ""There's lots of good things to talk about" to start - one a congratulatory statement about the use of the city-owned Pomeroy Street Parking Garage and another about something else.
This study session is an eye-opener for rolling your eyes.
Soon, Vice-Mayor Mark Freeman takes over the meeting, joined by City Manager Chris Brady to inform the mayor that Item 6-b* has been removed from the Consent Agenda.
At the mention of Item 7-a the discussion moves to proposed changes in parking spaces where both City Planning Director Kusi Appiah and Director of Downtown Transformation Jeff McVay join in the hearing and discussion . . . It's hard to understand what the city's planning director saying. Mark Freeman joins in again saying he thinks Jeff knows where he's going here, including 2 city-owned parking lots.
This is all in the first 4 minutes - and off we go!
