A long-time resident of the Rhode Island Seashore - he captured amazing images for many years. . .
- While his early work captured the 1970s counterculture—including Grateful Dead concerts—he eventually shifted his lifelong focus to the natural world.
Peter M. Fish (1953-2025), originally from Mansfield, CT, was a gifted
photographer, known for his prize-winning images of the birds, wildlife,
and landscapes of southern New England’s coastal lowlands and woods.
His passion was the avian world. His bird photographs include dazzling
action shots as well as sensitive, evocative portraits.Peter, also a
skilled woodworker, constructed all of the frames for his photos. He
printed, matted, and framed his work himself, using archival quality
pigment inks and conservation quality acid-free materials.
