The Romanian government has collapsed yesterday following a vote of no confidence which took place in the Romanian Parliament.
Both the Romanian President and voices from the EU have reacted following the events, with
- Nicusor Dan stating that he will ensure that Romania will have a “pro-western” government.
- Brussels have also expressed discontent with the events, questioning why the Romanian Socialists have entered a coalition with a right wing party such as AUR and George Simion.
Ursula von Der Leyen has stated that “A deal is a deal”, reacting to Donald Trump’s renewed threat of tariffs on European automobiles.
Emmanuel Macron has also urged the US and Brussels to work together, instead of focusing on tariffs.
The EU is launching an EU-Ukriane drone alliance and are looking for applicants for the role of founding members.
Zelensky has stated that Russia has violated the ceasefire proposed by Ukraine, which was supposed to start on the 6th of May and therefore Ukraine would respond in kind.
