As a child and adolescent, Guerrero studied violin at the famous International Academy of the Suzuki Method, in Matsumoto, Japan, and the Conservatorio Pernambucano de Musica in Recife, Brazil. Through the years, Guerrero's proficiency in violin, guitar, percussion, and vocals has allowed him to grow into one of the more prominent artists in the Latin Soul music scene. . .
Guerrero's music, much like his American/Mexican/Brazilian heritage, bridges many Latin and American cultures and styles.[5]
The result is music that offers a convergence of styles and influences spanning American folk, soul, jazz, funk, samba, bossa nova, reggae, and Afrobeat.[6] mamba Quetzal Guerrero – Downtown Phoenix AZ
His sound is inspired by the likes of Sting, Sade, Santana and during his live performances Guerrero mixes in 90's R&B and Neo-Soul covers by groups like Groove Theory and Wreckx-N-Effect, a multi-platinum New Jack Swing Hip-Hop group produced by Teddy Riley.

Quetzal Guerrero: Mélange of contemporary American performance

Quetzal Guerrero carries the name "precious feather" in the Aztec-Nahuatl language. As a Suzuki trained violinist, he has studied and performed internationally since the age of 5, playing with legends such as Tito Puente, Lalo Guerrero and Jorge Santana. He is an accomplished visual artist and actor who trains with Axe Capoeira.

Mélange of music and dance by contemporary Native American and African American performers, presented at the Francisco Nunes theater in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, as a part of the 5th Encuentro of the Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics, titled Performing Heritage: Contemporary Indigenous and Community-Based Practices. This performance brings together four contemporary American performances drawing from the artists' cultural roots: Quetzal Guerrero (Native American violinist and dancer), Larry Yazzie (Meskwaki/ Dine World Champion Fancy Dancer), David Pleasant (African-American Gullah/Geeche percussion and song, performing with dancer Joyah Pugh), and Dancing Earth (Indigenous Modern Dance collective directed by Rulan Tangen, with the participation of Quetzal Guerrero, Anthony Thosh Collins and Alejandro Meraz). Quetzal Guerrero and Thosh Collins open the evening with a traditional chant from the Salt River Pima-Maricopa indian community, followed by Quetzal's original solo violin piece. Larry Yazzie then performs his dazzling powwow Fancy Dance from Tama, Iowa, followed by the energetic and powerful percussion of African American David Pleasant, who draws on rhythms dating back to slavery in the United States. Dancing Earth performs a dance piece about the creation of the earth, and the evening ends with all performers bringing together their traditions--and the audience--on stage. There is also a post-performance discussion with the artists, in which they talk about the origins and meanings of their performances.

Re-View August 2021 City of Mesa Government Public Meetings. . .The Public Record

FIOFY:  Find It Out For Yourself
PLEASE NOTE: August was the time for a series of meetings and workshops to make progress on gathering Pre-Mapping input for Redistricting - to redraw new boundaries for city council districts where the relative growth in population during the last 10 years has been out-of-balance and uneven.
REDISTRICTING COMMISSION
Per the Mesa City Charter, The Mesa City Council appoints a five-member commission composed of Mesa residents to draw the new council district boundaries. The Commission has received training from national experts in redistricting and they consider both qualitative and quantitative data, including 2020 U.S. Census data, to redraw city council boundaries.

Commission members were appointed by the Mesa City Council on April 29, 2021 and will serve until a map is adopted by the Mesa City Council in late 2021. The commission is non-partisan and is composed of volunteers who are Mesa residents.

All Redistricting Commission meetings are open to the public. Advisory board meetings operate on a hybrid system. Public participants are welcome to attend in person or via Zoom
