Readers of this blog might like to note that after the Monday, June 4, 2018 Special City Council Meeting, the usual study session on the following Thursday, June 8th was didn't take place, perhaps due to a scheduling conflict with the 86th Annual Summer Session for the U.S. Conference of Mayors scheduled in Boston June 8-11. So far, as of today June 10th there is no agenda posted publicly for a June 14, 2018 Mesa City Council Study Session, nor is an agenda yet published for a Study Session on June 18, 2018.
This fiscal year ends on June 30, 2018 if that can tell you anything  . . .

What we do have in advance of the 46-item get-together is the tentative agenda . . . Shall we take a look?

Keep in mind that there was supposed to be a second PUBLIC HEARING on Home Rule to ratify every four years local spending limit expansions instead of the balanced budget provisions in Arizona State Laws. Without this approval the city can collect increases in taxes, fees and charges but cannot spend the money . . . __________________________________________________________________________

This increase is needed to fund and complete the purchase. A new 15-inch wastewater pipe will be constructed under the roadway for better access and functionality.
