New TPT/Sales Tax Increase Goes Into Effect March 1, 2019

Voter approved tax increase begins March 1

On Nov. 6, 2018, Mesa voters approved Question 2 on the General Election ballot to increase the City of Mesa Transaction/Privilege Use (sales) Tax from 1.75 percent to 2 percent. The tax increase takes effect March 1, 2019.
The quarter-cent increase is strictly for public safety and will provide funds for Mesa Police, Mesa Fire and Medical Services, personnel, equipment, training and related costs.
