AIRBORNE MODERN INFORMATION WARFARE: Diplomatic Skyfall: Much Ado About Hundred of Balloons Filled with Manure and Trash

Last week the government of Kim Jong Un flew hundreds of balloons filled with debris and manure in the direction of South Korea.
From Tuesday night into Wednesday of last week, some 260 North Korean balloons were found in parts of South Korea.
Chemical rapid response and explosive clearance teams were dispatched to recover the debris.
The military said the balloons carried various types of rubbish and manure but no dangerous substances such as chemical, biological or radioactive materials.
Some of the balloons were found with timers, suggesting they were designed to pop the bags in mid-air.
Sounds serious - here's the blowback

The military advised people to beware of falling objects and not to touch objects suspected to be from North Korea.
Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, says her country is making good on a threat to "scatter mounds of wastepaper and filth" - in response to leafleting campaigns by South Korean activists.

North Korea has launched hundreds more balloons carrying rubbish towards its southern neighbor, South Korea's military has said.
Between Saturday night and Sunday morning, about 700 balloons flown from North Korea have been found in various parts of South Korea, the Joint Chiefs of Staff said.
  • South Korea has said it will soon take "unbearable" retaliatory steps against North Korea over the balloon launches and other provocations.
Cigarette butts, scraps of cloth, waste paper and vinyl were tied to the balloons, but no dangerous substances were found.
Members of the public are advised to beware of falling debris and not to touch objects suspected to be from the north.
There have been no reports of injuries or damage.

Earlier this week, the government of Kim Jong Un flew hundreds of balloons filled with debris and manure in the direction of South Korea. . .

Whether we like it or not, elections are just months away and we need your help to win:

In 2020, Daily Kos recruited over 100,000 volunteers from our community to help turn out the vote using innovative tools and a wide variety of proven Get Out The Vote methods. Our goal is to repeat what we did in 2020: Recruit over 100,000 volunteers that connect with over a million voters and support Democratic candidates up and down the ballot.

Unfortunately, Daily Kos has far fewer financial resources now than we did in 2020, and a Get Out the Vote campaign is not cheap. We are estimating that between the technology costs, staff time, and the expense of recruiting volunteers, our GOTV efforts will cost us nearly $200,000.
