“There is a high likelihood that after the meeting the number of votes among lawmakers will remain unchanged; many lawmakers may not want to raise critical questions,” he suggested.
Later, faction spokeswoman Yulia Paliychuk told Interfax-Ukraine that the meeting with the president was planned for October 6–10, as previously reported officially. She said the president had not demanded the meeting but that it was arranged by agreement. She also said no personnel decisions would be discussed.
“In fact, elections were not discussed at all,” one lawmaker told NV.
Politico’s article did not make clear what source or statement it based its claim on regarding Zelenskyy’s potential candidacy in the next elections.
Participants of the platform – whose composition is yet to be determined according to certain criteria – will be able to engage in bilateral exchanges with the Assembly on matters of common interest, as well as take part in meetings of specific committees during sessions.
