Why Is It That Mesa Mormon Republicans Can Make Private Fortunes Founding Publicly-Funded Charter Schools?

Investigative reporter Craig Harris, who writes for the Arizona Republic, once again has an updated report and another chapter in what responsible journalism can't call 'white-collar crime'.
Furthermore, who's gonna prosecute them - one of 'their own'????
As he documents with details this case of David Farnsworth, one of the scions of The Farnsworth Family Fortunes in a real estate empire named SUNLAND (and nearly everything attached to real estate in their ownership interests) who  might not have clean hands building and operating charter schools but nonetheless manages to skirt and side-track legal issues over the sale of his for-profit education foundation to transform it into a 'non-profit' - the $56.9 million deal, from which he'll pocket $13.9 million. It won't be the state lawmaker's last payday from the schools he's owned for decades.
In addition, the new corporate board hired Farnsworth's brother, David, to be executive director. His salary was not disclosed.

'Wow! When will it end?'
State schools Superintendent-elect Kathy Hoffman said she was stunned and appalled by how much money Farnsworth was making.
"Wow! When will it end?" she said. "We should not have anyone profiting millions of dollars from a system that has been so severely underfunded."
Farnsworth said Hoffman and other critics of his sale are hypocrites because private companies profit from school districts by building schools and providing other services

It helps he's been in politics in the Arizona State Legislature (they write the laws) in both the House and The Senate.
