How many times have we heard that the famous "spring counter offensive" of 2023 was about to render results and return all of Ukraine's territories, including Crimea, to the control of the people in Kiev. Well, the "sprint" to the Black Sea turned into a "marathon" and from there morphed into the bloodiest picknick since WWI on the open fields of the front line.

• But the Collective West—always a master of self-deception—has pretended for half a year that everything was fine. Well, it was not.
• And as reality is starting to set in, the general public needs to be fed, little by little, with the news that things didn't go the way that these people had been pretending. But just wait till you see how they are spinning the story now.
