Holly Wong on Aaron Short's “Joan Semmel Is Doing Her Best Work at 93”

article gives me so much hope. It proves that you can have a singular
vision, go against the grain of art world trends and build a life of
meaning and purpose. I am so grateful that Joan has begun to be
recognized in significant ways but this late career recognition doesn't
define what she has already achieved, which is to courageously have a
voice when no one else is listening.
