Extremely excited to see how the crazy dreams of old friends from the 1990's in New York City in the world of food and hospitality take things way beyond the next level. Today on "Fresh Air" Host Terry Gross aired a 41:43 minute interview with someone your MesaZona blogger admired and liked a long time ago while he was the executive chef at El Dorado Petite at the same time your truly was the executive chef for Special Events at The Loeb Boathouse inside Central Park. We all worked crazy bizzy 60-80 or more full-time hours per week making the places we worked in successful.

Back in those times Jose Ramon arrived in New York City from Spain at the age of 20 - half my age. We somehow became friends and colleagues inside and outside of work after he took over from Antonio Buendia at a restaurant named El Dorado Petite on 58th Street.
As it turned out, six people who worked with me at The Loeb Boathouse also worked at the same time for Jose Andres, just by the coincidence of chance. From that  connection we got to know each other at their workplaces and socially for Chefs Nights Out plus other occasions.
