One again for this study session Mayor John Giles skims over the agenda with the usual 'several' and 'various' and 'Any questions?', interjecting that City Manager Chris Brady has an unscheduled  presentation he wants for Item 5-c (an IGA w ASU for a conceptual food waste-to-gas proto-project on a small scale + FOG samples that will cost the City of Mesa $189,788 for a very small-scale project also involving the City of Tempe collecting waste oil with their share at $76,013.)
Here in Mesa that are five collection locations for "food waste" garbage into gas!
Item 6-a got special attention with remarks from D6 Councilmember Kevin Thompson
That unscheduled presentation went on for about half-an-hour.
THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING lasted all of about 25 minutes, killing some time with award announcements, etc.

PRESENTATION ON HOMELESS (Sub-titled "Efforts to reduce . . . ")
________________________________________________________________________
THE ENTIRE AGENDA for Monday's Study Session
Please note it did not first go to the presentation and discussions of an update to the efforts underway in Mesa to reduce homeless.
As it turns out according to the results from the Maricopa Association of Governments presented in an earlier post on this blog, homelessness has increased over 100% in the last four years. . . and the city is still "trying to find better ways.
Take to time to listen and see the comments made by certain members and by any members who stay silent not joining in the discussion at all.
