First Meeting in 2017: Economic Development Advisory Board

An expanded view of the almost entire table - missing Ex-Officio members Mayor John Giles and City Manager Chris Brady.
Not on the agenda, but the issue of workforce development and the role of education took up most of the time.
Mesa City Council member-elect Mark Freeman [seen on left side of this image], was invited to talk and introduce himself serving the voters in District 1, succeeding Dave Richins.
He made a point to mention his family's 4th and 5th-generation history here in Mesa going back to one of the founders of Mesa.
He likes "Free Thinkers" on the board as well as "out-of-the-box" ideas for the team sport of economic development.
He retired as a 31-year Mesa Fire Department employee and says it's time to rescue Mesa ....from what, who knows?
