Jail Inmate Justice: Held-in-Custody, Found Dead In Cell

Hard to believe that Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone had this to say when a Pinal County Detention Officer being held in custody for two weeks, to face an accusation of sexual misconduct was found dead in his cell:
"Our primary responsibility in the jails is for the safety of our inmates and employees, . . My staff and I will ensure all policies and procedures were followed in this instance, and as always look for any opportunities to improve."
Robert Hunter is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old boy that he met on a dating app and was placed on administrative leave after his arrest.
According to the following report, MCSO says Hunter was housed alone in his cell because of the charges he was facing and his status as a former law enforcement employee. . . and found dead.
