G7: it is important to appoint competent independent experts to the Ukrenergo Supervisory Board

The G7 ambassadors stated the importance of selecting "competent and professional independent experts" as soon as possible from the NEK Ukrenergo Supervisory Board, as this is important for Ukraine's energy security and the trust of international partners.

Literally: "In connection with the dismissal of the Chairman of the Board of NEC "Ukrenergo" and the resignation of two members of the Supervisory Board, Ambassadors G7 emphasize the importance of rapid organization of the procedure according to OECD standards to identify competent and professional independent experts to the Supervisory Board."
Details: The G7 ambassadors stressed that this is very important for Ukraine's energy security and the trust of international partners.
Background:
- US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink said in a statement to reporters in Kyiv on September 6 that Ukraine should fill the full composition of the supervisory NEC "Ukrenergo", whose independent members resigned in protest of the politically motivated resignation of company leader Vladimir Kudrytsky.
- Two independent members of Ukrenergo applied for dismissal on Tuesday, September 3, in public declaring political pressure which became the cause release head of the company Vladimir Kudrytsky.
Another vacancy for an independent member of the supervisory board was not filled until, despite repeated calls from partners to the Ukrainian authorities.
