Forecast Discussion: Overall yesterday was a pretty good day as far as air quality goes. Ozone barely peaked into the Moderates while the rest of the pollutants remained in the Good range. Moving forward, particulates are forecast to stay in the Good range with fairly light winds expected all week. The primary concern will be ozone. A ridge will strengthen over the region in the coming days resulting in stable atmospheric conditions. Calm winds and sunny skies will allow ozone levels to climb. By mid-week, we expect ozone to be in the upper-Moderates. Don't be surprised if an HPA is issued later in the week when the ridge is centered over the region. Additionally, you can expect temperatures to once again reach triple digits later in the week. Enjoy the weather today as it will likely be the last day in the 80's for a while. Check back tomorrow for more. Until then, have a good day! –R.Nicoll Last Update: Monday, May 9, 2016, 8:45 AM.
