Presented by Donovan Rypkema. “Don” Rypkema is principal of PlaceEconomics and president of Heritage Strategies International. Working at the nexus of historic preservation and economic development, he has undertaken assignments in 49 States and 45 countries. He is a director of Global Urban Development, a member of the Senior Advisory Board of the Global Heritage Fund and author of The Economics of Historic Preservation. Don holds a Master’s degree in Historic Preservation from Columbia University. He teaches preservation economics at the University of Pennsylvania.
