The Opus Group® Announces Plans for Speculative Industrial Project in Longbow Business Park

HERE'S A SHORT VIDEO OF THE GROUND-BREAKING (37 VIEWS)

The Opus Group (Opus) announced today plans to build a speculative industrial project in the Longbow Business Park and Golf Club in Mesa.
Construction on the 147,672-square-foot project, named Longbow Gateway One, is slated to begin this month, with project completion scheduled for January 2018.

“We are excited to develop this project in the Southeast Valley, as we look to capitalize on the steady demand in the market from a variety of users, said Sean Cummings, vice president, real estate development, Opus Development Company, L.L.C.
“We are designing the building with maximum flexibility in mind to meet the needs of users of all sizes.”
Located near the southeast corner of Higley Road and Longbow Parkway, the industrial development offers prime proximity to the 2 million-square-foot Boeing Co. manufacturing facility, which makes AH-64E Apache attack helicopters.

Other nearby businesses include the Falcon Field Airport.
Longbow Business Park and Golf Club is a mixed-use commercial development, which features the Longbow Golf Club, alongside planned office, industrial, retail and hotel spaces.

"Many of us rely on Amazon's delivery service and now our residents will receive their packages faster than ever," City of Mesa Mayor John Giles said.
"I'm proud that Mesa now has three of the Big Four tech companies in our city with Amazon joining Apple and Google."
Amazon has leased the recently built Longbow Gateway One industrial facility and additional land from the Opus Group where it will locate delivery station operations.
The additional land will accommodate parking for employees and staging for delivery vehicles.
"District 5 is known for being the home to some of the top businesses in the country," District 5 Councilmember David Luna said.
"Adding Amazon to the already impressive list further solidifies not only the Falcon District, but the entire City of Mesa, as a go-to destination for nationally renowned companies to come and do business."
Delivery stations power the last mile of Amazon's order fulfillment process. Packages are transported to delivery stations from Amazon fulfillment and sortation centers, and then loaded into vehicles for delivery to customers. Interior tenant improvements are already underway.

Amazon offers full-time employees comprehensive benefits including full medical, vision, and dental insurance as well as a 401(k) with 50 percent match starting on day one. The company also offers up to 20 weeks of maternal and parental paid leave and innovative benefits such as Leave Share and Ramp Back, which give new parents flexibility with their growing families.
